As a sixth-grade teacher, Carol Osborne inspired a young student named Roger Smith II to serve his country. Fifteen years later, Smith is a veteran student at WCC and Osborne is helping him prepare for his next mission: an engineering career.

The program honors academic institutions committed to supporting veterans and military-connected students. WCC has again earned the highest Gold-level designation for the 2025-2026 school year.
