Summer skilled trades training returns to WCC

More than 600 skilled trades union workers will participate in national training programs on the WCC campus over the next two weeks as hands-on instruction resumes following the pandemic.

United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers President Kinsey M. Robinson and WCC President Dr. Rose B. Bellanca held a ceremonial contract signing Aug. 16 to signify that the union will hold its National Instructor Training Program on the college campus beginning June 2020.

For the 30th consecutive summer, the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry (UA) is back on the Washtenaw Community College campus for its Instructor Training Program.
