Washtenaw Community College participates in the State of Michigan’s budget development process by submitting the required document “Five-Year Capital Outlay Plan”, updated annually. This document is intended to provide state policymakers with the most current information available on institutional priorities and needs, with focus areas to include:
- Instructional Programming (an overview of current and future academic programs and their initiatives)
- Staffing/Enrollment (actual and projected patterns in enrollment and staffing levels)
- Facility Assessment (room usage percentages, and general physical condition and functionality of existing buildings)
- Implementation Plan (strategy to address major capital deficiencies and structural repairs)
