As a Project Lead you are responsible for collaboration on proposal development and management of a grant program once awarded.
Project Lead Primary Responsibilities
- Knowledge of information within the grant proposal, award letter, terms of the grant contract and WCC’s policies and procedures.
- Executing the work as outlined within the proposal.
- Tracking the required program metrics.
- Developing the required programmatic reporting.
- Oversee and approve grant expenditures to ensure they align with the approved budget.
Collaboration with Other Departments at WCC
During the lifecycle you will work with different departments across the college to achieve programmatic goals.
The Office of Grants collaborates with the Project Lead throughout the grant lifecycle starting at ideation all the way to project closeout. Helping navigate the grants process both with the sponsor and with internal departments. Contact grants@wccnet.edu for assistance.
Financial transactions and management such as invoicing, financial reporting, expense approval, banner questions, effort management is managed by the Restricted Funds Accounting Team. Contact grants.fn@wccnet.edu for financial and accounting questions.
When purchasing goods or services valued more than $5,000 contact WCC Purchasing as bidding requirements may apply. Requisitions may be entered via the self-service portal (please see instructions) or contact pur@wccnet.edu if additional assistance is required.
Some grants include budget for hiring or adjusting current employee’s effort. Once a grant has been awarded, there will be a kick off meeting which will include a Human Resources representative if personnel effort will be discussed. Please see additional HR resources.
