The Entrepreneurship Center offers you a meeting place to help build, start and grow your business, with the following services available for any community member, WCC student or staff. The Michigan Small Business Development Center offers expert assistance at no cost to entrepreneurs looking to start or grow a business.
Contributing to Economic Success
Washtenaw Community College creates a significant positive impact on the business community and generates a return on investment to its major stakeholder groups—students, taxpayers, and society. Last year, it was estimated that we contributed $524.1 million into the Washtenaw County economy.
According to a recent study by Economic Modeling Specialists International (Emsi):
- For every $1 invested in WCC by taxpayers, the college returns $4.10 to government coffers;
- For every $1 invested in WCC by students, the college returns $7 in additional lifetime earnings;
- For every $1 invested in WCC by society, the college returns $16 in added state revenue and social savings.
