The Writing Center at Washtenaw Community College has been serving students, faculty, staff, and the community since 1976. Legend has it that the Writing Center was born one Sunday afternoon when a group of passionate English instructors took a sledgehammer to a wall to make room for writers to collaborate. Removing barriers has been our mission ever since.
