Tips & Tricks Workshops at the Computer Commons

To help improve students’ proficiency in basic computing, the Computer Commons is pleased to offer our Tips & Tricks workshop series. Focusing on different topics, these practical, hands-on workshops last one hour and are on a drop-in basis for students in GM 230A. All students are welcome.

In Winter semester 2015, the workshop schedule and topics are as follows:

January 27, 10-11 am:  Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware Protection
January 27, 6-7 pm:  Computer Survival:  How to Avoid Common Computer Issues

January 28, 10-11 am:  File Management: How to Save and Find Your Files on a Computer
January 28, 2-3 pm:  Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware Protection

February 3, 10-11 am:  Computer Survival: How to Avoid Common Computer Issues
February 3, 2-3 pm:  Printing in the Computer Commons
February 3, 6-7 pm:  Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware Protection

February 4, 10-11 am:  File Management: How to Save and Find Your Files on a Computer
February 4, 2-3 pm:  Printing in the Computer Commons
February 4, 6-7 pm:  Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware Protection

  2. Can I come into the computer commons for assistance with computer class? I need help understanding a few things in word (creating tabs-formatting and mail merge). I did not do well in Word Exam which I am doing online(CIS 100).
