About Katharine L. Davis
Katharine (Kate) Davis has extensive experience teaching at the secondary school level, in Michigan, Oregon and Japan -- in public, private, and charter schools. She is excited to start her career in higher education with WCC.
She has been involved in various teaching organizations over the years but is currently most active with the Japanese Teachers Association of Michigan and the American Association of Teachers of Japanese.
Kate also enjoys working with CIEE, the Council on International Educational Exchange, which has allowed her to support high schoolers studying abroad in Japan for summer language study.
Kate was born in central Ohio, grew up outside of Flint, Michigan, and is currently living in Metro Detroit with her bike-loving, novel-writing husband and three cats.
