About Alexander Clinthorne
Alex holds a Master of Fine Arts and has held artist residencies in Iceland, China, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and throughout the USA. He has taught a full range of 3D and 2D art courses at WCC, Eastern Michigan University, University of Hawaii at Manoa, and Montana State University.
His artwork ranges from large-scale sculpture installed in nature, to whimsical and delicately hand-pinched porcelain sculpture and pottery. As a creator and instructor, his design philosophy embraces values of unabashed ideation, intimacy with materials and authentic engagement.
