PowerPoint Viewer

Allows people to view a presentation when they do not have PowerPoint installed.

A viewer for PowerPoint 2013 does not exist. Use the PowerPoint Web App to view a presentation.

Save as HTML

When people can’t view a PowerPoint file, they save it as a web page and view it in HTML.

Add a SkyDrive place and use the embedded viewer.

The default format for media (video and audio)

For video the default is .wmv
For audio the default is .wma

The new default for video is H.264

The new default for audio is AAC

Some legacy media file formats will require that you optimize them for compatibility in PowerPoint 2013.

Create custom theme colors

This functionality is located on the Design tab.

This functionality has been moved to the View tab in Slide Master View.

Hide background graphics

This functionality is located on the Design tab.

This functionality has been moved to the Format Background task pane.

Play back animations

To play back animations, in the Animation Pane, click Play. The animation starts with the animation in the first position in the task pane.

To play back animations, in the Animation Pane, click Play. The animation starts with the current animation that is selected, rather than the one in first position.

Equation Editor

Equation Editor is a formula editor that that allows you to construct math and science equations in a WYSIWYG environment.

No longer available in PowerPoint 2013.

Microsoft Clip Organizer

Use the Clip Organizer to collect and store clip art, photos, animations, videos, and other media to use in your presentations, documents, spreadsheets and other files.

This feature is no longer included in Office 2013. The Clip Organizer feature is replaced by the Insert Media dialog box. The new Insert Media feature lets you find and insert content from the Office.com Clip Art collection and other online sources, such as Bing Image/Video search, Flickr, and your SkyDrive or Facebook page.

If you need to see clip art you stored in the Clip Organizer, and you have Office 2010, you can do a custom installation of Office 2010 to reinstall the Clip Organizer component.

Microsoft Office Picture Manager

Use the Picture Manager to manage, edit, share, and view your pictures from where you store them on your computer.

This feature is no longer included in Office 2013. It has been replaced by the Windows Photo Gallery.
